An interpreter for your notary appointment in Berlin
Tell us when your appointment is and which language you need. We check availability with a suitable professional interpreter and confirm the price before anything is booked.
Free, no-obligation request. Nothing is booked or charged until you confirm.
- Berlin notary appointments
- Professional interpreters only
- Credentials checked
- Price confirmed before booking
How it works
This is a request, not an instant booking. We coordinate every request by hand so the details are right.
Send your appointment details
Date, notary, language and type of appointment. It takes about two minutes.
We check a suitable interpreter
We look for a verified professional interpreter for your language and appointment, and ask what they need to prepare.
Receive availability and price
You get the interpreter's availability, the final price and the cancellation terms. If we can't find anyone suitable, we tell you honestly.
Confirm and pay
Only once you accept and pay is the interpreter confirmed. We can share their details for the notary office if needed.
Notary appointments we can help with
Notary appointments in Germany are usually held in German. If you don't understand German well enough, the deed has to be translated for you during the appointment.
Property purchase (Immobilienkauf)
Buying or selling a flat or house. The purchase contract is usually long and needs careful preparation.
Land charge (Grundschuld)
Often signed as part of a mortgage, usually shortly after the purchase contract.
Company formation (GmbH / UG)
Founding a company, changing shareholders or managing directors.
Power of attorney (Vollmacht)
General, property or healthcare powers of attorney that need notarisation.
Marriage contract (Ehevertrag)
Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Inheritance and other matters
Inheritance contracts, certificates of inheritance or other notarised documents.
Not sure what kind of appointment you have? Choose "Not sure" in the form and we'll work it out with you.
Professional interpreters, checked before we suggest them
Interpreting at a notary is professional work. That's why these requests are handled separately from SettlyGo's everyday helpers.
A separate, verified group
We only work with professional interpreters for these requests. Ordinary SettlyGo helpers are not assigned to notary appointments.
Credentials checked for each request
We check the interpreter's professional qualification and status, such as whether they are publicly sworn, before we present them to you.
Details shared when you need them
Once you confirm, we can share the interpreter's name and qualification, for example if the notary office asks for them in advance.
What we need from you
The more we know, the faster we can confirm an interpreter.
- Date and time of the appointment, if already set
- The language you need
- The notary's name or office
- The type of appointment
- The draft contract or documents, if you already have them
Why documents matter
Interpreters usually want to read the draft deed before the appointment. A long property contract can take hours to prepare, so the documents affect both the price and who is available. You don't need to upload anything now: if documents are needed, we'll tell you how to share them after reviewing your request.
Pricing: confirmed before you book
There is no single price for notary interpreting. Instead of showing a number that may not fit your appointment, we confirm a final price for your request. It usually depends on:
- Type of appointment and length of the document
- Preparation time needed
- Expected length of the appointment
- Language
- How much notice there is
- Travel and waiting time, where applicable
You'll always see the final price and cancellation terms before you confirm the interpreter.
Interpreters usually ask for payment before the appointment, and late cancellations can be charged. We explain the exact terms with your quote.
Language support, not legal advice
The interpreter
- Interprets what the notary reads and says
- Interprets your questions to the notary
- Helps you understand the conversation in your language
The interpreter and SettlyGo don't
- Give legal or tax advice
- Tell you whether to sign
- Find or book the notary for you
- Guarantee the notary will accept a specific interpreter
The interpreter provides language support only. The notary is responsible for the deed and for explaining its legal content. Requirements vary by notary and appointment, so it's a good idea to confirm with the notary office that they accept the interpreter.
