1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using SettlyGo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

SettlyGo is a platform that connects newcomers to Germany with local helpers who assist with administrative tasks such as registration, bank account opening, apartment viewings, and other settlement-related services.

We act as an intermediary platform and do not directly provide the assistance services. Helpers are independent contractors, not employees of SettlyGo.

3. User Accounts and Bookings

3.1 Customer Obligations

  • Provide accurate and complete information when making bookings
  • Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
  • Bring all necessary documents as advised by your helper
  • Treat helpers with respect and professionalism
  • Pay for services as agreed upon booking confirmation

3.2 Helper Obligations

  • Provide services with reasonable skill and care
  • Arrive punctually for scheduled appointments
  • Communicate clearly with customers
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of booking and is processed through Stripe
  • All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include applicable platform fees
  • SettlyGo charges a platform fee on top of the helper's hourly rate
  • Prices may vary based on service type, duration, and helper rates
  • Payment must be completed before a helper is assigned

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Cancellations

First-Time Customer Policy: For your first booking with SettlyGo, we offer more flexible cancellation terms to help you feel confident trying our service:

  • More than 24 hours before appointment: 100% full refund (no fees)
  • Less than 24 hours before appointment: 50% refund
  • No-show by customer: No refund

Standard Cancellation Policy (applies to all subsequent bookings):

  • More than 48 hours before appointment: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
  • 24-48 hours before appointment: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before appointment: No refund
  • No-show by customer: No refund

5.2 Cancellations by Helpers

If a helper cancels, you will receive a full refund and we will attempt to find an alternative helper. In case we cannot provide a replacement, a full refund will be issued.

5.3 Service Quality Issues

If you're unsatisfied with the service provided, you may file a dispute within 48 hours of service completion. We will review each case individually and may issue partial or full refunds at our discretion.

6. Liability and Disclaimers

6.1 Platform Liability

SettlyGo acts as a marketplace connecting customers with helpers. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of services provided by helpers. While we screen and verify helpers, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

SettlyGo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

6.3 No Professional Advice

Helpers provide assistance and accompaniment but not professional legal, financial, or immigration advice. For such matters, please consult qualified professionals.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or helpers
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Attempt to circumvent platform fees by arranging direct payment with helpers
  • Use the Service to compete with SettlyGo
  • Scrape or misuse data from the platform

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on SettlyGo are owned by SettlyGo or licensed to us. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be governed by the laws of Germany and resolved in the courts of Berlin.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.
