The questions come from an official catalogue published by the BAMF: 300 general questions plus 10 questions for each of the 16 federal states. You only need the general questions and the ones for the state where you are registered.

- 33 multiple-choice questions: 30 general questions and 3 about the federal state where you are registered.
- How many answers do I need to pass?
- For naturalisation you need at least 17 correct answers out of 33. You have 60 minutes.
